Truly Presidential

Realizing Gov. Christie has already proclaimed that he will not run for President in 2012, I for one, certainly wish him the best in turning the sad story of New Jersey's state of affairs around. Of course with such it would be a clear example to the nation of what an efficient leader can do.  He could be propelled into the national leadership role with a definitive CV covering all the check points of experience necessary to lead the United States of America (unlike the community organizer of today).  We salute Governor Christie and the dedication and efforts he has made to turning around the state of affairs in New Jersey and setting an example to the current national executive of true responsible leadership.  And as an inspiration to all of us who face the silly liberals daily he has done and continues doing this by putting his foot down and demanding we can no longer go on spending what we do not have. Gov. When you call the office, you'll talk to a staffer who will record your opinion for the Representative. Here's a few tips to make your call most effective:

• Be polite
• Let the staffer know you live in their district
• State your points clearly
• Make sure to say: vote yes on HR 2

Members of Congress take constituent feedback seriously, so after you make the call, encourage your friends to do the same.

Falling Behind

Another example where we are letting ourselves down.  We do not have to be #9 on this list.  It is up to us to put the pressure on the elected officials for smaller, leaner more efficient government services.

Huge increases in government spending. Despite obvious past failures of Keynesian spending policies in countries like Japan, the U.S. government undertook a massive government spending spree designed to combat unemployment and slow economic growth. This Keynesian stimulus has proved to be an abject failure:Unemployment is still above 9 percent for a post–World War II record 20th month in a row, and economic growth has not returned as strong as the Obama Administration predicted."

Starting off correctly - 2011

It sets the tone for the new congress to start off the year by reading the Constitution.  Clearly this has come about due to the pressure that has been exerted on politicians by "Tea Partiers."  It could also be seen as a shame as it took this movement to remind politicians to follow the foundation of all of our laws.  However we have exerted this pressure and we should continue to remind them that they work for us and that we call the shots.  Just as we all have personal responsibility for our families and our communities we also have the responsibility as US citizens to ensure that our nation is being protected from those who intend to harm her from within and outside our borders.  Let's do more in 2011!
